This is my last sound for this drift. This was recorded in Aztalan State Park near my hometown of Lake Mills. I recorded near the Crawfish River which is by the border of the park. The park has mounds from when the Aztecs supposedly came up here and they built a town and memorial mounds where the park is now. They also supposedly built pyramids, which there are, on the bottom of Rock Lake in Lake Millls. No one knows why the Aztecs came up here and also don't know how they dissapeared. But anyway this clip is of water adn natural sounds by the water. Here is the link.

Drift Map and Drift Strategy

For my drift strategy I decided instead of doing something out of the ordinary, I would take my recording equipment where ever I went. Since I don't get out much, most of my sounds consisted of sounds on campus. The stars are where I did my recordings. The recordings in my dorm room were mostly by chance. I left it recording while I was at a class and came up with some really good sounds. The other place was in the Music Building where I was practicing. I then realized how annoyingly squeaky the doors were and decided that it would come out as a really clean precise sound. For my last sound, I happened to be home for the weekend and went to Aztlan State Park and recorded sounds by the little river that runs through it.

Sound Recording #4
This once again is from my dorm room window. This is a recording of police sirens. It is interesting to me because it starts out short and abrupt, then it goes for quite a long time. I also like it because the siren sound came out really crisp. Here is the link.
Sound Recording #3
This was also recorded from my dorm room window. This is mainly buses halting and starting up again along with some big trucks that the microphone picked up. Normal street cars didn't pick up from the height I was at. I like especially the bus in the middle where you can here it come to a complete squeaking halt, then starting up again. Here is the link.
Sound Recording #2
This was recorded from my dorm room window. It was a windy day and there was some sort of pepsi truck or something backing up down below. I really like that in this recording you can hear both the beeping and the fade ins and fade outs of the wind. Here is the link
